A round-up of our new product updates

We have introduced a number of product updates to our sites over the past few months.  Some you may be aware of, others not – here’s a list of all the recent developments to keep you up to speed.

Quick search: user notes| valuation requests | carousel of properties | reduced pricing

User notes

Home searchers who are logged into their MyFaP account can now add notes against a specific property to remind them of features they liked, why it might be worth viewing, or just to keep a partner updated on their property search.

The properties with notes attached are shown within the search results, too – but all comments are unique to an individual and will not be visible to other users.

Valuation requests

Home searchers can request valuations from their local agents when they’re looking for a specific property, within a specific area. Separate forms have been developed for Primelocation.com and FindaProperty.com.

Result: Over 4,000 new valuation requests for estate agents within a single month.

Property carousel

On every property details page we now have a carousel of other properties that have been the most viewed by users who also looked at that individual property.

The caption above the carousel reads: “In the last 7 days, other people that looked at this property also looked at these:”

This should make the user’s journey a simpler one, and will introduce properties they might otherwise have missed.  This function is a first for a property website in the UK.

Result: Users using the property carousel functionality are staying on the site for 37% longer than average, and are generating a 37% increase in page impressions.

Reduced pricing

Registered FindaProperty.com users now have access to reduced price information on their property searches.  This new feature displays the current price and the original “reduced from” value, and appears on both the search results and the property details pages.

Result: This addition has already increased enquiries and will help you to distinguish your property from the pack. It’s also an excellent addition to attract property investors looking for discount.
